And herein lies a problem. The kids already have simpler ways of instant gratification and they don’t really understand the value of money. Even at age 16. If you didn’t tell them you’re saving the money, they would likely still want to be like the other kids and yet, still have the money when you did tell them. Many parents would just give it to them then or at some future date (though I’d recommend a trust fund for college). I suggest that probably needs further thought to close those loopholes. They’re generally better gamers than we oldies are now.
