Good article, but I want to tug on one thing. Statistics are hard numbers. They don’t lie, nor interpret themselves nor map themselves to real world phenomenon. People do both the methodological (and mythical) exercise and the interpretation of those hard numbers. People are racist. Numbers are numbers.
