The sorry state of affairs here is that IBM don’t really care about their workforce. I see this even outside the company, as do many others.

Rometti and the current board have taken the view that the workforce are dispensable commodities and so are you. However, they’re also running the once centre great organisation into the ground. There are many other players entering the same market. Plus, the biggest players in the biggest up-and-coming spaces, are already too far ahead of IBM and pulling away. Their success hinges on Watson as the clearest new(ish) direction.
Would be interested to know what you find yourself doing. Taking principled decisions is courageous and laudable, but also risky, as it doesn’t always lead to a better outcome for the person taking them. But it can be done.
